The Øer area is a charming and popular holiday destination close to both forest and beach. The beach is characterized by shallow water and sandy shores, although in some places it can be a mix of stones and sand. For mountain biking enthusiasts, there is a 13 km trail in the area, divided into different levels of difficulty. At the harbor, you'll find several good restaurants, small specialty shops, and, not least, the Frigate Jylland and the Glass Museum. In the town center, you’ll find the Old Town Hall, where people come from near and far to get married. It’s about a 20-minute drive to Ree Park, where you can get close to wild animals, and just under an hour’s drive to both the Kattegat Center in Grenaa and Scandinavia's largest amusement park, Djurs Sommerland.
