The garden is cosy and inviting, and there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy a relaxing moment in the sun and shade on the lovely wooden terrace. Kalkhavevej is close to the water and not far from Ballen Harbour, where there are plenty of opportunities for shopping. You'll also find great restaurants and if you fancy an ice cream, there are several options in Ballen.

The island.
Go out and experience Samsø, fill your basket with fresh vegetables and flea market stalls and enjoy the island experience. If you like golf, you'll find the island's beautiful golf course a few kilometres from Ballen. About 5 km from Ballen you'll find Tranebjerg, the island's largest town with good opportunities for shopping and groceries. Discover Nordby with its cosy street pond and enjoy the view from Ballebjerg, and the island's best beach at Mårup Østerstrand is also worth a visit. The possibilities are many
