At Nordkrogen 9 in Blåvand, you can really switch off. Start your day on the open terrace with a cup of coffee in hand, or soak up the sun on the large lawn in the almost enclosed back garden, where only the red deer occasionally pop by.

Under the covered section of the terrace, you can sit on the garden furniture and lose yourself in that good book you’ve been meaning to read for so long, even if a shower should come along; and when you fancy a bit of pampering, you can pop into the outdoor hot tub or have a refreshing rinse under the outdoor shower. The outdoor shower is available from 1 April to 31 October.

This charming house, originally built in 1930, welcomes you with its character and, despite its age, boasts a modern kitchen equipped with a dishwasher, a microwave, a wine fridge and a separate 120-litre freezer. Shops are just 800 metres away, so you can cook up some lovely holiday meals for each other on the gas hob, perhaps using delicious fish from the fishmonger in Blåvand. The kitchen/dining area opens directly onto the terraces, so you can easily dine al fresco in fine weather, perhaps with food cooked on the outdoor gas barbecue.

In the living room, you can relax with a good film or enjoy good conversation, and the 2 elegant bathrooms feature underfloor heating for extra comfort. When you’re tired after an exciting day’s holiday, 4 lovely, spacious bedrooms, each with a double bed, await you, where you can recharge your batteries for new adventures. One of the bedrooms is on the first floor, which you can reach via the easy-to-use staircase, and which features lovely, original wooden floors. There is also a guest toilet here.

If your holiday clothes need washing, you can use the house’s washing machine and tumble dryer and let the machines do the work for you.

Entertainment and play in the activity centre

The holiday home in Blåvand also offers a wealth of entertainment options. Challenge friends and family in the well-equipped activity room, which features billiards, table tennis, table football and darts. Should you fancy exploring local attractions, do visit places such as the Tirpitz Bunker Museum, Blåvand Zoo and the old Blåvandshuk Lighthouse, where the climb up the 170 steps is well worth the effort for the view over the beautiful heathland and the impressive North Sea. The ‘Flugt’ Refugee Museum in Oksbøl, the Fisheries and Maritime Museum in Esbjerg and Denmark’s oldest town, Ribe, are also well worth the drive.
