The area around Øer is a charming and popular holiday destination close to both forest and beach. The beach is characterized by shallow waters and sandy shores, though some areas may have a mix of sand and stones. If you enjoy mountain biking, the area offers a 13 km-long trail with different levels of difficulty.

The house is just a five-minute drive from Ebeltoft’s harbor, where you will find the renowned Glass Museum, a leading institution in modern glass art. The harbor also offers several excellent restaurants and the opportunity to buy freshly caught fish. A visit to the historic frigate Jylland is highly recommended.

In Ebeltoft’s charming cobbled streets, you will discover many interesting shops selling home decor and handicrafts, as well as cozy cafés. The town’s most visited attraction, the Old Town Hall (Det Gamle Rådhus), is a popular wedding venue that draws visitors from near and far.

Within an hour’s drive from the house, you can visit the Kattegat Centre in Grenaa or Northern Europe’s largest amusement park, Djurs Sommerland.
