Upon entering the holiday home, you'll immediately sense the traditional atmosphere of a Danish holiday retreat. The walls and ceilings throughout are wood-panelled and painted in light colours. Oversized windows flood the entire living space with natural light. Thanks to the open-plan design, combining the living room, kitchen and dining area in one space, the whole family can enjoy their holiday together.

Whether you're baking or cooking in the compact, well-equipped kitchen with its microwave, dishwasher and induction hob, or completing puzzles at the dining table – everyone will feel at home here. For cooler evenings, you can light the wood-burning stove, though an energy-efficient heat pump has also been installed for convenience. Put your feet up, watch a film or settle down with a book while watching the flames in the wood-burner and enjoying its cosy warmth.

After a long day in the fresh air, everyone will look forward to a peaceful night's rest. The traditional summer house has two bedrooms: one with a double bed and another with two single beds. Families with children will appreciate the washing machine and tumble dryer. The small, bright bathroom features a shower and underfloor heating.

Enclosed terrace, partially covered

The sheltered, partially covered and enclosed terrace is perfect for relaxation and enjoyment. Garden furniture, sun loungers, a parasol and barbecue are provided. Children and dogs can play freely here without constant supervision. You can enjoy the sunshine and fresh sea air here in any season. From April to November, you can rinse off sandy feet using the outdoor shower after beach visits.

Fanø is reached by a 12-minute ferry crossing. As soon as you leave the ferry, you'll notice time moves at a different pace here. The island offers 9.3 miles (15 kilometres) of beach, seals, heathland and forest areas, a natural playground and the charming villages of Nordby and Sønderho. There's so much to experience here. Fanø is perfect for leaving the car behind and exploring by bicycle. If you can't bring your own bikes, rentals are available locally.
