Modernized and very well-maintained holiday home located close to Sæby's child-friendly sandy beach, where the beach promenade leads directly into the town’s charming center and harbor area.
This cozy and intimate house features a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and a bedroom with a double bed on the ground floor. From the living room, a steep staircase leads to the second sleeping area/loft with three sleeping spaces, consisting of three box mattresses placed directly on the floor.
The kitchen and living room are open-plan, creating a beautiful maritime look with ship-style flooring, wooden kitchen, wooden doors, wood/metal staircase, and a carefully coordinated interior. Surrounding the entire house is a large wooden terrace with several cozy corners and access from both the living room and kitchen. The terrace is designed to allow wheelchair access from the driveway, although there are small doorsteps at the entrances. At the back of the house, there is an outdoor shower – perfect for rinsing off sand after a trip to the nearby Blue Flag beach.
The house underwent a major renovation in 2002 and has been well maintained ever since – something that is clearly visible and felt. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, various kitchen utensils, generous counter space, and a kitchen island with an induction hob facing the living area. Cooking here won’t feel like a lonely task. The bathroom features a shower and washing machine. A tumble dryer is available in the shed.
The living room includes a cozy sofa area, perfect for relaxing or playing board games, and a lovely wood-burning stove for cool late-summer evenings. The large windows with views of the surroundings and terrace make the intimate house feel bright and spacious rather than small or cramped.

The house is centrally located in the town of Sæby, which is well worth a visit. It is a very charming market town with great shopping opportunities and several attractions. The harbor is lively in the summer, with many yachts, ice cream stalls, cafés, and shops – all creating a vibrant maritime atmosphere.
Sæby celebrated its 500-year anniversary as a market town in 2024. In the old part of town, you'll find the abbey church, Sæby Miniby (a miniature town with buildings from around 1900), the Coastal Museum, Sæby watermill, and several unique arts and crafts shops along Algade. On the outskirts of town, there’s a beautiful 18-hole golf course and Sæbygaard Castle, both worth visiting.
The Coastal Museum has departments in Sæby, Frederikshavn, and Skagen, showcasing life by the sea – past and present. In Sæby, both the Miniby and the castle contribute to the local history.
About 10 km north lies Frederikshavn, where the Palm Beach is a must-see, as is the Bangsbo area with viewpoints, botanical garden, deer park, and excellent hiking and biking trails. If you continue further north, there’s much to explore in Skagen – including the famous Grenen (where two seas meet), the Skagen Museums, the cozy Teddy Bear Museum (for teddy bear fans), the Grey Lighthouse, the Sand-Covered Church, and the migrating sand dune Råbjerg Mile.
Sæby is also centrally located for visiting many of the attractions found throughout Northern Jutland.
