Renters beware! Unfortunately our family had an extremely disappointing experience at this rental unit in Solgaarden, and we would not recommend staying here or using Campaya or VRBO for future rentals. We are a family of five from the U.S. traveling oversees in Eurpoe with a 2 night stay in Bornholm. We booked this rental 5 months in advance, and we found out THE MORNING of our check-in that there were no sheets, linens, or bath towels provided as part of the rental unit. NO WHERE in the online descriptions of the unit on Campaya or on VRBO did it state that linens and towels were not provided as part of the cost of the rental. It is customary and standard that rental units ALWAYS include these for their guests unless SPECIFICALLY stated otherwise, and if they are not included in the cost of the rental then usually there is an option presented to pay extra to rent them, which there was never an option presented. I would expect that paying over 1000 Euros for 2 nights at this unit that linens and towels should have been provided, furthermore the rental agency could have clearly seen that we were traveling oversees from the U.S. and could have reached out much sooner to let us know they did not provide linens or towels so that we could make arrangements for us rent some. I spent over 4 hours on the phone on the day we checked in speaking with Frank at the local Campaya rental management agency on Bornholm, as well as the VRBO customer service line, and the Campaya customer service line. We were told multiple times by Frank at the local Campaya rental management agency that there was nothing they could do to help, and he had the audacity to tell us that we should buy towels and linens in the main town of Ronne. It blows my mind that the local rental agency would have been so unhelpful and unaccommodating for our family, how in the world could they expect that we would just sleep on the dirty mattresses and not be able to dry off after showering for two days, or that we should literally buy linens and towels for ourselves and then travel throughout Eurpoe with dirty linens and towels or leave them behind at the rental? The customer service lines at Campaya and VRBO turned out to be of absolutely no help either, the representatives tried to get in contact with the local management company but we never got any reply back for any offer of help with the situation from either company. In the end, after spending an additional 2 more hours on the phone we were able to find a different resort on the other side of Bornholm that was willing to rent us linens and towels at the cost of $150 for the weekend. I had to drive over an hour round trip on our first night to pick up the linens/sheets and then another hour round trip on our check out to return the linens/sheets to the other resort. Overall I wasted over 8 hours of my time during our family vacation in Bornholm trying to find linens/sheets to make our stay at the rental comfortable for my wife and children. This ordeal and lack of help from anyone from the management companies or the owner of the unit was just unacceptable and ruined this part of our families vacation. The customer service from everyone involved was absolutely awful, quite frankly it's the worst customer service that I have ever encountered. I would never recommend staying at this unit in Solgaarden, or using Campaya or VRBO in the future for your vacation rentals.
