The house is situated in the popular holiday home area, Skåstrup Strand, only 200 meters from the child-friendly beach with great possibilities for fishing. The house has a bright and well-equipped kitchen in open connection with the large, combined dining and living room with a wood burning stove and access to the large terrace. From the living room you can enter the pool area with a nice whirlpool. The house has 4 nice rooms – 3 with a double bed and 1 with 2 bunk beds (4 persons) – and 2 bathrooms each with a shower. One of the bathrooms has a sauna.
In the cozy annex with an electric radiator, you find 3 extra beds (matrasses), which can be purchased up to 3 weeks before arrival - ask Slotsferie Danmark about the price. PLEASE NOTE that the annex can only be rented from April to September, as the only source of heating is the electric radiator. The large garden invites for a ball game and family playtime. The house is suitable for several families, and is the perfect starting point for excursions on Funen and maybe a trip to LEGOLAND® in Central Jutland
The area
The beach in Skåstrup Strand is child-friendly with shallow water. Out of season there are excellent opportunities for windsurfing and fishing. Bogense is 8 km away from the area. Here you find the unique atmosphere which is typical for many towns on Funen with its small built-together houses and paved alleys. On the old market square, you can buy fresh fruits and vegetables once a week. Odense, the largest town on Funen, is 30 minutes away by car. Here you can enjoy a great variety of exciting sights and attractions, such as the house of Hans Christian Andersen, the media museum Brandts Klædefabrik, the Danish Railway Museum, the zoo and much more. From the town centre it is possible to go on an idyllic boat trip on the river Odense Å. In the large pedestrian streets, there are many exciting shops, cafés and restaurants, and in the old town you can join guided watchman tours every evening during the summer period.
