A holiday should be filled with shared experiences as well as time to simply enjoy being together. At Hermodsvej 2, you will find a cosy holiday home full of charm, with a lovely activity room and a layout that works particularly well for two families travelling together. The four-legged members of the family are welcome too, as up to two dogs are allowed – and the enclosed terrace makes holiday life even easier.

Welcome inside

Inside, you are greeted by a cosy and charming holiday-home atmosphere, with inviting surroundings that are perfect for relaxed days in good company. The TV lounge is a natural place to gather, and when the wood-burning stove crackles on a cool evening, you can pull out the blankets, put on a good film and enjoy the feeling that there is absolutely nothing you need to do. The house also has an activity room where both children and adults can get together for games, laughter and friendly holiday competitions.The layout is particularly well suited to two families travelling together. Part of the sleeping accommodation is located in a separate building, making it easy to withdraw for a little peace and quiet while still having the cosy shared areas to meet in. It creates a lovely balance between time together and privacy – whether you are enjoying a family holiday or travelling with friends.

Enjoy life outside

Outdoor life has excellent conditions on the large and secluded plot surrounding the holiday home. Here, you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings, listen to the birds in the garden and find your own favourite spot in the sunshine while the children play and the day unfolds at a slower pace. There is plenty of space around the house, and the private setting makes it easy to settle into holiday mode.The enclosed and fenced terrace is especially convenient when bringing a dog on holiday. On warm days, you can leave the door open without constantly having to keep an eye on whether your four-legged holiday companion is heading off to explore. At the same time, the terrace becomes a cosy gathering place for morning coffee, lunch in the sunshine or a long summer evening with good food and conversation around the table. When the weather is at its best, it is hard not to spend most of the day outdoors.

Get up close to the local attractions

With the holiday home as your base, you are well placed to explore the beautiful West Jutland countryside around Vrist and Vejlby Klit. The North Sea tempts with wide sandy beaches, fresh sea air and long walks along the water, where the dogs can also enjoy discovering plenty of new scents. The area around Ferring Lake is equally ideal for walking and cycling through the open coastal landscape. If you would like to explore further afield, you can head towards Thyborøn, where the harbour atmosphere and the area's maritime history have left their clear mark on the town, or visit Lemvig with its shops, cafés and inviting waterfront. To the south, Bovbjerg Lighthouse is an obvious excursion, and the impressive views across the North Sea make the trip well worthwhile. After a day full of experiences, it is wonderful to return to the peaceful surroundings on Løkkevej and end the day in front of the wood-burning stove or with a game in the activity room.

Remember, you can always borrow handcarts, high chairs and cots from us at Vejlby Klit. You can collect them directly from our office and return them to us once your holiday is over.
